Since it’s March Break in Nova Scotia this week we decided to do something a little different for our blog. We asked one of our employee about her relationship with water. Here’s her thoughts:
” I love Water.
As a kid, I hated milk. My parents never bought pop and kool-aid was the drink of choice for my siblings. I always drank water. I love water.
I was so embarrassed of my water bottle. In the 80’s and 90’s we didn’t have the water bottle technology that we do now. We didn’t have the color or pattern options. I reused a clear 2L pop bottle. My tap water was full of iron. By the third or fourth refill, my bottle was so orange and rusty it would gross everyone out. I didn’t care. I loved water.
Now as an adult I can proudly say that I am raising my children to share the same love of water. We all have our color water bottles and cool coffee mugs that I am actually proud to show off. My water is also crystal clear. We enjoy making our own wine, beer and ciders at home. The taste of our coffee and tea could challenge franchised chain. It is cold and delicious. I never have to pay for it and I don’t lug bottles home. It comes right out of my tap. Well not my kitchen tap, but it’s own special little incredible water tap. I love my water.
The technical term for the process that I use to get in my opinion, the absolute best drinking water is a reverse osmosis. RO’s as they’re more commonly known as are small drinking water systems installed underneath your kitchen sink. Between the membrane, 5 micron prefilter and carbon filter they take all the yuckiness that caused my poor pop bottle as a kid and sends it away leaving me with only the purist, demineralized water. Water that I can be proud of. Water that makes my cooking taste better. Water that I love.”
We LOVE this story and love people who love water! Are you a fan of water or do you have a hard time getting your doctor recommended water intake in? We’d love to hear from you!
Have a great week!
